From Season One, Episode 12, "Prophecy Girl" -- After Buffy and Willow independently turn down Xander's invitation to go to the Spring Fling dance (for different reasons), Xander defensively tells Willow:

"That's okay. I don't wanna go. I'm just gonna go home, lie down and listen to country music. The music of pain."

Xander proceeds to go home and listen to Patsy Cline's "I Fall To Pieces." :)
