Comments: 200 km run ✅ Needed extra sleep this morning. Awoke around briefly around 5 and again at 6 a.m. as cats played on the bed 🙃 Shut them out and fell back asleep until around 8:00 a.m., then slept again until 10:25 a.m. 😪 Really needed it, but still felt tired enough that I started out going slow. Got caught up in my audiobook and noticed I was running better than I expected. Ended up with an average pace about where it should be--2 minutes/mile pace slower than race day pace of 10:40/mile pace. emembered the 3 things I should always do: 1) Garmin HRM-Pro Plus Heart Rate Monitor; 2) Anti-chafing; and 3) Sunblock ✅ Also remembered to play my mobile game today, which tracks steps. I started my old mobile fitness app, Zepp Life (Formerly MiFit), which gave me mile-repeat breakdowns 😀 I had never thought about tracking my run with both the Garmin & Zepp Life, but it works OK. I use the Garmin smartwatch for interval repeats and Zepp Life for its real-time GPS map & mile splits. My weight is down to 184 lbs, its lowest in ~6 weeks of tracking 🤔 About 3.6 lbs lower than yesterday. I guess I did not eat as much as I needed to (?) Burning calories. Weather was perfect: sunny, pleasant, not stinky. Ended the run with a strong finish. One vehicle slightly startled me as it was about to pull out of its driveway but thankfully saw me. One nice thing about the Garmin smartwatch software is gear tracking--I have already run 14.5 of 400 miles in my new shoes, or 3.6% of its expected use. Goes by fast. 🏃🏼‍♂️
Any irregular feelings, aches, pains, heart rate, and so forth?: Fairly well rested and feeling some life in my muscles again, but also tired enough to warrant going a bit slow; one inflamed gum slightly painful
Foods eaten today: Kashi GO Toasted Berry Crisp Cereal with nonfat milk, Bizzy Cold Brew Organic Espresso Blend (~6 oz), Tailwind Nutrition Recovery Drink Mix - Chocolate - 16 oz, Ito En Oi Ocha Unsweetened Green Tea - 16.9 fl oz
