Comments: Alviso Marina County Park 7-mile run. First time. Weather was perfect. Ran along packed-earth levees of the Alviso Slough Trail in 1:30/1:00 run/walk intervals. This park is also part of the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The pink salt pond #A12 represents the most striking feature of Alviso Marina County Park. Part of the trail system is closed through mid-2025 due to the ~$0.5 billion South San Francisco Bay Shoreline Project (Phase I) between the Alviso Slough/Guadalupe River and Coyote Creek. Dawn and I ran at a relaxed pace. The Alviso Slough trail along pond A12 was rather uneven due to foot traffic after recent rains. After reaching ponds A11 & beyond, the trail seemed in much better condition. Loved the sounds of the wind rustling the cordgrass or waves lapping against the levee. It gave me a mental break to both get outside and get away into our backyard San Francisco Bay parks. Near the trailhead, we passed two women with leashed gray cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ 🙂 After the run, we visited Happy Lemon for drinks, then headed home.
Any irregular feelings, aches, pains, heart rate, and so forth?: Left hamstring intermittent spasm
Foods eaten today: Trader Joe's Cold Brew Coffee (x2), Nature's Bakery Fig Bar - 2 oz twin pack (Raspberry; x0.5), banana (x0.5), Donut Wheel - Matcha Pistachio Donut (x0.5), Happy Lemon - Genshin Impact Tea-Ppuccino With Sky Cream & Oreo ("The top layer of cream is colored with organic blue spirulina and sprinkled with crushed Oreo cookies")
