50 States Marathon Challenge

While at REI with Dawn to buy hiking boots I talked with an employee who stated she wanted to run a marathon in every state. There are lots of places I've wanted to visit in the United States but never had time or motivation to get myself there. I really want to visit New Orleans and eat beignets at Café Du Monde. :) Yum. So far I've run races in four states:

1. 2006-06-17, Grandma's Marathon (30th Annual), Duluth, Minnesota
2. 2006-07-30, San Francisco Marathon (29th Annual), San Francisco, California
3. 2006-10-14, Whistlestop Marathon (9th Annual), Ashland, Wisconsin
4. 2006-11-05, New York City Marathon (36th Annual), New York City, New York
5. 2006-12-03, California International Marathon (24th Annual), Sacramento, California

The 2007 New Orleans Mardi Gras Marathon (42nd Annual) is February 25, too soon to prepare for, unfortunately. This year I also want to run the Portland Marathon (36th Annual) on October 7 (which would mean no 2007 Whistlestop Marathon). I haven't decided on any other marathons yet.
