Comments: Porter Meadow was abloom in purple wildflowers. Discovered a red Valentines Day tinsel wrapped around an overlook across the gulch behind Merrill College. Tramped through dry and partially-dry stream beds and lightly wooded glades. Ran through the Camper Park for the first time. Admired the rainbow art piece. Banana slug sighting by Hahn Student Services bridge. Sprinted a few sections near McHenry Library, no problems. "Red-lined" running today--I ran until I felt myself breathing heavily, then backed off until I caught my breath. A few times I removed my COVID mask to fully catch my breath. Thought about going to see Buster the cat in Chadwick Garden, but decided to conserve my energy. Saw palm trees near the municipal pier from the OPERS overlook. Perfect day/temperature/time to run and explore.
