Appreciation

I told someone today that I really appreciated their cheerfulness, and I could tell it really meant a lot to them. :) It is a really nice connection to give someone recognition and appreciation for their service.

The person remarked that they had been talking about customer service at their business. For example, the person claimed three people would jump to help you at a 1950's service station: (1) check your tire pressure; (2) check your oil; and (3) fill your vehicle. And all of that with a smile. The person said many businesses today are credit card swipers, and they have lost connection with their customers. The businessperson said that they think the personal service works, and I readily agreed.
