California may have happy cows but they don't have cheese curds, as other Wisconsinites have noticed.
Apparently local cheese factories produce them. Will look for one around the Sacramento area for a fix.
UPDATE: The California Milk Advisory Board has a list. Closest cheesemakers seem to be in the Bay Area.
