- Raiding, Sopron County, Kingdom of Hungary-born Franz Liszt's "La Campanella" (translated as "The Little Bell"), with primary soloist Li Yundi, on the Deutsche Grammophon label (#B0000851). Video. An amazing tour de force; the ending reminds me of Star Wars' Dual of the Fates.
- Santa Cruz de Galeana, Guanajuato, Mexico-born Juventino Rosas' "Sobre las olas" (translated as "Over the Waves"), performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, Alondra de la Parra conducting, on the Sony label (#75555). Audio (note: not the recording heard on KDFC).

Audio (note: not the recording heard on KDFC; but it is Rachmaninoff himself). Note: I would listen to this in college over and over again; just an amazing piece.
