Wow.... I nearly choked when seeing the median cost of a house in Boulder. I still think it would be a nice place to live, but way too expensive. Colorado Springs might be more doable.
And Tempe, AZ could also be a possibility, I think.
After reading the article, I can now see where you got your inspiration to possibly telecommute someday.
